The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission oversees all the playgrounds and recreation fields located within the Borough. The Recreation Commission offers a variety of recreational programs and events to the residents of the Borough, i.e. the annual Easter Bunny Event, Borough-Wide Yard Sale, Independence Day Concert & Fireworks, activities at Olde Freehold Day, Spooktacular events at Halloween, the annual holiday house decorating contest and more.

Freehold Borough's Rec Basketball League is Back again! Register now for the 2026 – 2027 Season: Incoming 3rd - 9th Grade (Boys & Girls).

The goals of the FBBL are to develop life lessons, friendships, and improve basketball skills.

Players are invited to register early. There are two ways to register this year.
