The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission oversees all the playgrounds and recreation fields located within the Borough. The Recreation Commission offers a variety of recreational programs and events to the residents of the Borough, i.e. the annual Easter Bunny Event, Borough-Wide Yard Sale, Independence Day Concert & Fireworks, activities at Olde Freehold Day, Spooktacular events at Halloween, the annual holiday house decorating contest and more.

Freehold Borough Basketball League

The Recreation Commissioners and Freehold Borough Basketball League volunteers are proud to announce that registration for the 2025 – 2026 season will open Monday August 25, 2025. We expect our numbers to increase drastically this year so please don’t wait to register. Our league has two brackets 3rd – 5th grade and 6th – 9th grade. We have limited gym space to hold practices so we may have to close off registration at a certain point unless something changes.
