The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission oversees all the playgrounds and recreation fields located within the Borough. The Recreation Commission offers a variety of recreational programs and events to the residents of the Borough, i.e. the annual Easter Bunny Event, Borough-Wide Yard Sale, Independence Day Concert & Fireworks, activities at Olde Freehold Day, Spooktacular events at Halloween, the annual holiday house decorating contest and more.

Freehold Borough Basketball League

Registration is now closed for our 2024 – 2025 FBBL season. We are proud to announce that our program is continuing to grow as we added a 5^th team to our 3^rd – 5^th grade league. We are excited for our 2^nd year of our program and looking forward to another successful season. Thank you to our local sponsors that sowed into our program financially and to all of our wonderful volunteers as our program would not be able to function without all of you. Please come out and cheer on our players as they show off their basketball skills and make some awesome memories to talk about in the future.

In addition, the Recreation Commission is open to being a sponsoring partner with local programs and organizations for events.

The commission meets at Borough Hall on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. to discuss various recreational activities for the residents of the Borough. All terms are for five years.

The Commission is currently full; however, they are always in need of other volunteers to assist with their events and open to new ideas for the community.
