The applicant goes into the Freehold permit portal to begin their application process here; https://permit.us.flowbird.io/permitcustomerportal/FREEHOLDNJ, where they will have to create a new account (username/password) and our system will generate an email that the users will need to verify their email address.
User clicks on 'Apply for Permit' in the permit portal, chooses the corresponding permit type, duration, etc.
Once information is confirmed, the application will be created and customers must upload mandatory documentation, which they could have downloaded and filled out before this point or they download, fill it out and upload at this point. Once the information is confirmed and documentation is uploaded, the application will be created fully and will be set in the status of 'Request Ready'.
If the Borough approves, the customer will then get an email that their application has been approved and then their permit will be moved to the status of 'Payment Pending', which means that the permit is not active until payment is made. The user will need to then log back into the permit portal to make payment before the permit is active.
If the Borough does not approve, they can correspond with the customer on additional information, etc.
Once the payment is made, there is a backend sync process that will take roughly a minute for the permit to become fully active for enforcement.
Please only submit the APPLICATION (1 page) through the permit portal.
